What do you do when a big bison decides to dance in the snow in front of you?

Then it lays down and rolls around.

Just take some video and post it on the internet. Now you're spreading joy.

You're not going anywhere until he's done anyway.

The video is titled, "Bison Throwing a Tantrum," but it looks to me like it's just having fun.

This is not the only time we find bison having fun in the show.

They get bored, just like the rest of us, and need to blow off some steam.

Here's a younger bison that's decided it's time to jump around like a jackrabbit.

With a big coat like that, he's not cold.

Winter is his happy place.

In this next video, these guys are trying to get to where the food is at.

That's hard to do in a Yellowstone winter when it's covered in several feet of snow.

But big guys like this can just push right through.

These drivers have to just wait until the fluffy beasts decide to move along.

Here's one of a big fellow caught in a blizzard.

Might be miserable for you and me.

He loves it.

Time to run and play through snow that's several feet deep.

And getting deeper.

This next video perfectly illustrates my point.

It starts with bison doing what we usually see them doing.

NOTHING.

But then they start to run and play.

It's mostly just a lot of running and playing around.

Maybe we could toss them a ball, or something.

Running around chasing each other can only be so much fun.

Can you imagine if they had a toy?

A Gallery Of High Planes Wyoming Winter Bison

Special thanks to Grandpa Rich of Thermopolis Wyoming for these photos.

Each morning Grandpa drives up to check on the herd in Hot Springs County Wyoming.

As he drives around he takes photos and sends them to me.

An audience of 1 is not enough.

That's why I'm sharing them with you.
