Well, this is heartwarming. A Cheyenne lady has started a dog rescue in Wyoming. Prairie Paws of Wyoming is what she is calling it.
Prairie Paws of Wyoming is a brand-new Cheyenne-based dog rescue working with Border Paws of the RGV to move Pups from overcrowded areas into forever homes.
Prairie Paws was born from a dog-loving girl who grew up but never lost her passion for animals or her dream of making a difference.
Life happened. Marriage, two kids, and years of growing into the person I am today. Then our family adopted our first rescue dog, and with him, that old fire came roaring back.
In Wyoming, shelters are drowning in surrenders. Rescues are stretched thin. And incredible dogs are running out of time simply because there is nowhere for them to go.
That is where the Prairie Paws journey begins.
She is starting from scratch, with a whole lot of heart and an incredible partnership in Texas, working toward bringing dogs from overcrowded shelters to Wyoming, where they can have the chance to become someone’s forever companion.
There is so much still to build, learn, and dream about, and I’m incredibly excited for what comes next.
