Wyoming High School Skiing Scoreboard: Feb. 23-24, 2024
The 2024 high school alpine skiing regular season will conclude in Jackson during Week 10 of the season. It’s the Pinedale Invitational, but due to the conditions at the White Pines Ski Area outside of Pinedale, the ski meet got moved to Jackson. Skiing fans, if you are at a race and taking pictures of the race, WyoPreps would like to use them with your permission. WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL SKIING SCHEDULE WEEK 10
Alpine Skiing
The last races of the regular season are on Feb. 23 and 24, 2024. The Pinedale Invitational will be at Snow King Resort in Jackson instead of outside of Pinedale. The races were moved several weeks ago. Friday is the GS race on the Elk ski run at Snow King. It starts at 10 a.m. with varsity girls’ skiing first followed by the varsity boys. On Saturday, it will be the slalom race on the Cougar ski run. It will also start at 10 a.m. with the varsity girls on the slopes first followed by the varsity boys.
FRIDAY GS RESULTS
Dylan Witherite of Jackson led a 1-4 finish for the Broncs. She won the GS race by over six seconds at 1:34.14. Teammate Ceci Bruno took second (1:40.71), and Jackson's Annie Moll was third (1:41.97).
For the boys, Jackson's Liam Logan had the best two-run combined time for the victory at 1:28.41. Travis D'Amours of Jackson placed second (1:33.70). Teammate Jack Stolte finished third (1:35.60).
SATURDAY SL RESULTS
Kylie MacMillan of Jackson won the girls' slalom race at 1:47.69. The Broncs swept the top four spots again. MacMillan won the race by over seven seconds. Madeline Ryan took second place (1:55.15), and Ceci Bruno came in third (1:58.96).
Liam Logan of Jackson completed the weekend sweep, as he won the slalom at 1:40.41. Travis D'Amours took second again (1:42.53), and Brett Lane of Jackson was third (1:50.36).
Girls Final Team Standings = Jackson 132, NC 80, Cody 55, KW 39, Pinedale 31, Laramie 5.
Boys Final Team Standings = Jackson 146, Pinedale 91, KW 39, NC 38, Cody 23, Laramie 5.
Nordic Skiing
Cross-country skiers are at their state championships in Casper this weekend. WyoPreps has a separate preview story and will post separate results this weekend.
