You can bring the kids in to trick-or-treat (you should probably leave the "trick" part at home), and you can also stop in and see the Natrona County Sheriff's Office for a reflective trick-or-treating bag.

The reflective bags are great for letting drivers know that a trick-or-treater is ahead. There are also other safety tips your kids should be aware of to ensure a safe and happy Halloween.

Halloween Trick-or-Treat Safety Tips:

Be Seen - Reflective bags are a great tool for ensuring safety; you should also carry a flashlight, and a cool glowstick can enhance your safety.

Pay Attention - Stay on sidewalks and paths and watch for cars backing out of driveways or on the side of the street.

Street Crossing - When crossing the street, use the crosswalk and remember to stop and look both ways before entering the street. Remember to NEVER cross the street between parked cars or in the middle of the street.

Picking Houses: Do not go to the door of an unlit house, and never enter a stranger's home. Stay outside and say trick-or-treat.

Trick-or-Treating Group - Go trick-or-treating with a buddy and an adult you know and trust, like your parents or other adults you know and trust, and say with your group.

Eating Candy - Wait until you get home before eating any candy. Let your parents or adults you know check it out and ensure it's safe to eat.

You'll see the spooky lights down the street.

Kids will run past to get their candy at the door.

Parents will stand and marvel at their neighbor's work and wonder why they did not do something like this.
