Join The Excitement At The Central Wyoming Shooting Event
Living in Wyoming, there's a really good chance you enjoy blowing things up. You know, things like an old propane bottle, a washing machine, dynamite, wire spools, fire extinguishers, manmade explosives, and anything else they can find to shoot at. When I think about the Central Wyoming Machine Gun and Cannon Shoot, I automatically picture Tim "The Toolman" Taylor from the old TV show 'Home Improvement' grunting.
In June of 2026, you're going to have a prime opportunity to see things blown up and have a chance to blow things up at the 29th Annual Central Wyoming Machine Gun and Cannon Shoot.
The firepower on the grounds of the Garrett Ranch, which will become a high-powered shooting range for CWMGCS on June 5, 6, & 7, is spectacular! You'll find just about any machine gun that has ever been made, long-range cannons, handguns, or whatever firearm you can think of from the last 150 years.
If you're planning on attending and want to bring firearms onto the grounds, you must register. Registration is now open, and you don't want to wait, because shooting positions will fill up quickly. To get registered, here is the link to the required release form.
If you've never witnessed this event, it's worth the 40 (ish)- minute drive and the $20 weekend pass (or $40 if you want to dry camp for the weekend).
The weekend is full of fun, explosions, camaraderie, meeting new friends, and supporting H.D. Outdoors.
Proceeds from the shoot go to H.D. Outdoors. H.D. Outdoors of Wyoming is a nonprofit organization located in Casper that is dedicated to HONORING our disabled veterans for their DUTY in the great outdoors.
They offer a 100% all inclusive experience for each and every disabled veteran that comes Their way. They provide big game hunts in the fall, fishing trips, organized shooting events and group get together. Check out their website for more info on this awesome organization
