When the Longmire TV show began, I don't think anyone knew it would have as lasting an effect as it has. Thanks to Craig Johnson's creation of the Walt Longmire character and series of adventures, we gather together every summer to relive the series at Longmire Days.

For a long weekend each July, Buffalo, WY, morphs into the fictional, crime-filled town of Durant, WY. Shoot, Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) himself even shows up with other members of the series cast to spend time with fans of the books and show and help bring the series to life.

One of the weekend's hot spots is the legendary T.A. Ranch. Many Longmire Days events will be held on the ranch that played a significant role in the Johnson County War in the late 1800s. When you're on the ranch, you can still see bullet holes from a gun battle during the war.
