The Exclusive ‘Kirby Derby’ To Be Held At Wyoming Whiskey
Wyoming may be far from Louisville, Kentucky, where the Kentucky Derby will run, but that doesn't mean you can't have as much fun.
Wyoming's first legal distillery, Wyoming Whiskey, is throwing a big Kentucky Derby bash in Kirby, Wyoming. The Kirby Derby will be held again in the small town of Kirby on Derby Day, May 4.
Most people will giggle when the phrase "size doesn't matter" is said, and in this case, it's true. Kirby, Wyoming, has less than 100 residents but a big party atmosphere, thanks to the distillery and tasting room.
The day will run from noon to 5 p.m., including many horse racing games, contests, prizes, food, fun, and unique Wyoming Whiskey cocktails.
If you were to attend the Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, you would see people dressed to impress in their race day best—men in colorful outfits with bright ties, socks, shirts, and hats. Ladies will be wearing large hats, bright dresses, and colorful accessories. On May 4 in Kirby, you'll find the same attire and atmosphere.
Here are some fashions you'd find at the Kentucky Derby to give you some ideas of the fashion and hats people wear.
It will be a fun day of horses, Wyoming Whiskey, big hats, and LOTS of Wyoming fun at the Kirby Derby on May 4.
