I was just having a conversation about the importance of a library. I know that with technology, finding a book and downloading it onto your iPad or Kindle is as simple as tapping a button, but there's something about holding the book in your hands and flipping the pages. Maybe it's nostalgia, or maybe it's my way of holding on to the past and not rushing into the future, but it's also easier for me to focus on reading if I'm holding the book.

I say that to say this: the Natrona County Library is having its Spring Book Sale this week, and it's a great time to find some new reading material. The event is going on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 9-11. If you're a big reader and read one book per week or per month, you can get a year's worth of reading material for under $60 during the sale. Hardback books will be selling for $2, and all other materials will be priced at $1 or less.

I mentioned the sale runs for 3 days. Thursday is an early-bird sale day; admission is $20, but you'll need to reserve a spot for one of the day's 2-hour sessions.  Friday is the second chance sale; admission is $10, and you'll need to reserve a spot in one of the sessions. Saturday will be Free Admission day, but you'll still have to reserve a spot in one of the 1-hour sessions.

To reserve your spot, simply select the sessions you want at the event page. When you do, specify “CASH” as your payment method, and check out! If you are scheduling for Thursday or Friday, we will collect the fee at the door. Again, there is no fee for Saturday, but reservations are required.

If you're interested and want to reserve a time, you can go to the Natrona County Library's event webpage. You can get there through this LINK.

Happy Reading!
