It’s A Big Weekend For Natrona County 4-H
4‑H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime.
The nationwide program has shaped kids for generations. The 4-H of Natrona County program is open to all kids aged 8-18 and is a great 'hands-on' program.
Many people have been involved in 4-H, from athletes to actors and politicians to some of your favorite music artists, like Luke Bryan, Johnny Cash, Faith Hill, Vince Gill, Dolly Parton, and Trisha Yearwood.
One way that 4-H programs are funded is through fundraising events, and there's a big one coming.
The Natrona County 4-H, as Pumpkin Fest kicks off Saturday morning at 10:00 and goes until 3:30.
Here's a list of some of the stuff going on.
- Pumpkin Carving
- Pumpkin Painting
- Pumpkin Bowling
- Tye Dyining
- Fall Photo Booth
- Petting Zoo
- Scavenger Hunt
- Laser Tag
- Over 20 vendors with all types of things for you to look at and purchase.
If you're having difficulty getting into the fall mood and need a boost or are ready to begin decorating for Halloween, Pumpkin Fest is exactly what you need. There will be all kinds of activities, food, and fall fun.
If you're up for the challenge, there will also be a pumpkin pie-eating contest at 11 and 1. If you eat a whole pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving Dinner, this contest will be right up your alley.
The best part of the event is that it is free, but donations will be accepted. Any money raised will directly support the Natrona County 4-H program. It's also a great way for the kids and families to kick off National 4-H week, which runs from October 7 to 12.
