How To See The Week 2 Thankful Thursday Auction Items

Thankful Thursday is in full swing, and we've started 2025 out with a bang. Last week, H.D. Outdoors of Wyoming raised over $35,000 to help veterans. We're back at the Beacon Club in Mills this week with Wyoming Senior Citizens Inc., helping Wyoming's older residents maintain their independence.

Thankful Thursday begins at 5 p.m. with chances to win cash and prizes and help raise money for senior citizens. We will round out the evening with our live auction starting at 6:30.

The private nonprofit has been around and impacting the lives of seniors since 1975. If you or a loved one is a senior citizen and needs help staying in your home, WSCI is here to assist you. 

There are many programs offered under the WSCI umbrella:

Foster Grandparent Program - The program provides an opportunity for older volunteers to impact the lives of children in need positively.

National Family Caregiver Support Program - Caring for someone unable to perform at least two activities of daily living or due to cognitive or other mental impairment requires substantial supervision.

Wyoming Home Services Program - Provides services to those qualified individuals at risk of premature institutionalization.

Senior Companion Program -  Companions serve adults aged 21 and over who need help to remain living independently at home.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman -  An Ombudsman acts on behalf of persons who need assistance advocating their cause.

Wyoming State Health Insurance Information Program: This program helps seniors and others on Medicare understand their rights and answers their questions.

Senior Medicare Patrol - Guides Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report healthcare fraud, errors, and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education.
