Here Are Great Wyoming Towns That Aren’t Spoiled
If you were going to call someone spoiled, you'd think they were sore losers, lacked empathy, were entitled, and were challenging to deal with.
If someone were unspoiled, all those traits would be reversed, right?
If you were to pick Wyoming towns that were cool, unspoiled, and places everyone needed to experience, which ones would you pick?
WorldAtlas.com has released a list of some of the most unspoiled towns. Ten towns were on the list, and I agree with 9 of them, but I think they got one of those towns completely wrong.
Casper and Cheyenne, the two most populated cities, didn't qualify to be on a "small town' list.
Here are the nine smaller Wyoming towns that are unspoiled.
- Laramie - It is one of Wyoming's most iconic Western towns, blending its cowboy roots with a vibrant academic community. Laramie is home to the University of Wyoming, making it a lively and diverse community.
- Gillette - Has evolved into a hub for coal mining and energy production while preserving its historical roots.
- Rock Springs - Located in southwestern Wyoming, Rock Springs is often called the "Home of 56 Nationalities," celebrating its multicultural heritage from the coal mining days.
- Sheridan - Offers a mix of history, outdoor adventure, and small-town charm.
- Green River - Known for its natural beauty, it delivers an authentic Wyoming experience that lets you unwind and immerse yourself in the charm of rural life.
- Riverton - Travelers will enjoy discovering fascinating exhibits at the Wind River Heritage Center, where you can explore the area's past, from Native American history to the region's cowboy culture.
- Cody - Visitors can immerse themselves in this legacy at the renowned Buffalo Bill Center of the West. This expansive museum complex offers an in-depth look at the American West through its five museums.
- Evansville - With a population of just over 2,700, it's located near Casper. It offers access to various attractions while maintaining a more laid-back, small-town feel.
- Rawlins - Walking through the town feels like retracing the steps of pioneers, lawmen, and outlaws. One of Rawlins' most captivating attractions is the Wyoming Frontier Prison, an intriguing site that offers guided tours showcasing the facility's rugged history.
When you look into the details of those towns, you can be assured they are great small Wyoming towns. They all have a lot in common, including being affordable.
Here's the one town that may not fit the "Unspoiled" classification.
Jackson
We're not saying Jackson doesn't offer many things for visitors to do, history to learn about, and beauty to see, but if you've ever been there, unspoiled doesn't fit the description.
