Casper Spuds Baseball is coming BACK to Mike Lansing Field on May 23.

In their second season in Casper, Tater Nation is shaping up to be a huge season. The team is part of the Independence League, a summer collegiate wood-bat league with teams stretching from Casper through South Dakota and down into Nebraska.

Collegiate players from all over will show up to spend their entire summer playing baseball for fans here in Casper. Some are returning players, and some will be rookies, but they'll be here and fired up to see all the fans in the stands.

The regular season begins on May 23 and continues through the playoffs, which start at the end of July. That means watching a whole summer of baseball and spending time at the ballpark with your family.

There are many significant parts to having the Spuds in Casper.

1. Get to watch live baseball.
2. Beer, hot dogs, peanuts, other food & drinks.
3. Minor League baseball excitement with Major League experiences.
4. Affordable family fun.

I could go on and on about the importance of having the Spuds here, but you should get out and see for yourself. The season doesn't officially start until the 23rd, but that shouldn't stop you from being excited.

Saturday, May 4, is a HUGE day at the ballpark. It's the launch of the new Spuds merchandise, special single game & season ticket prices, and an open casting call.

Not only does having the Spuds benefit your family, but it also gives the singer a chance to show off their singing skills. Every game starts with the singing of the National Anthem, and the Spuds are looking for people who want to sing at the ballpark.
