Meghan Vogt Ties Cowgirl Golf Record for Lowest Round
DENVER – Meghan Vogt didn't let Elle Higgins have the Cowgirl golf record to herself for very long.

The Wyoming senior tied the lowest single round score in program history with a 5-under 67 in the opening round of the Ron Moore Collegiate on Friday at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch.
Vogt, who finished with six birdies and one bogey on the 6,622-yard course, is currently tied for fifth place on the individual leaderboard. UW is seventh in the competitive 15-team field at -1 (287) with 36 holes remaining.
During her first tournament as a Cowgirl, Higgins, a Montana transfer, opened the Utah Valley Wolverine Invitational with a 67, which broke the previous program record of 68 shared by seven players, including Vogt.
Higgins fired a 70 (-2) on Friday and is tied for 13th entering Saturday's second round. Kiley Reisner, who was named the Mountain West freshman of the month for September, is tied with teammate Sophie Spiva for 53rd after both shot a 75 (+3).
Vanderbilt leads the tournament at -17 (271), followed by Colorado at -12 (276) and Clemson at -5 (283). UW is one shot behind host DU (-1) and two shots ahead of rival Colorado State (+1).
