As you may have heard, a snowstorm that’s crossed the Midwest has put Buffalo under six feet of snow. That storm has trapped a number of travelers in its wake, including New York City rockers Interpol.

It all started as the band made their way from a show in Columbus heading toward their next tour stop in Toronto. Things came to a snowy halt outside of Buffalo, where they’ve now been trapped for 40 hours, forcing them to cancel their concert in Toronto.

“Dear Toronto, our bus is trapped in a snowstorm just outside of Buffalo,” the band wrote in a statement posted to their website. “We haven’t moved our position on the road in over nine hours. Unfortunately, we’ll have to cancel tonight’s concert at the Kool Haus.”

“We were greatly looking forward to the show but the big bad winter has come early this year,” they added. “We will be informing people of a new date as soon as we can.”

If their snowed-in situation persists -- which they’ve documented in a series of tweets you can see below -- Interpol may have to cancel their next show in Montreal, too. Here’s hoping they can hit the road soon!
