The band formed in 2005 when singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth started posting music on the old-school social media platform MySpace. Their consistent posting, self-promotion, and touring gained them a following.

They gained the attention of record labels and were soon releasing music and touring worldwide. Through the years, the band has released eight studio albums. Having gold and platinum certified songs along the way.

The band's lead singer, Maria Brink, has been nominated for and won numerous awards, including Loudwire Music's Rock Goddess of the Year twice, and Revolver Golden God Awards' Hottest Chick In Metal.
