Halestorm are still enjoying "the wild life" while supporting their most recent album on the road, but the band is already starting to prepare themselves for their next release.

During a chat with Face Culture (as seen above), siblings Lzzy and Arejay Hale revealed that writing has actually begun on their next disc and has been in the works for some time.

"We really haven't stopped since we finished the last record," says drummer Arejay Hale, who admits the band felt a little time crunch while working on the Into the Wild Life disc. "This time we're trying to be a little bit more prepared so when we go in we have a little bit more songs to choose from. We're all individually writing and we're writing together and we're just getting an idea of where we want to go, what direction."

"We're literally writing every day," adds Lzzy Hale. "We're starting to get a clearer idea. A couple of months ago I had no idea what I wanted to do next, and so it was just writing to write."

Halestorm have had a habit of doing covers EPs in the past to help bridge the gap between albums and it looks as though that tradition will continue. Arejay Hale reveals, "We're about to go into the studio and record another cover EP and every time we do that we get inspired heavily by the songs that we've learned. It's kind of a great way to get an idea of different ways of songwriting. As we do that I think we'll have a whole new batch of inspiration."

So while there are still plenty of dates on Halestorm's schedule for 2016 (which you can see here), it looks as though the band is working ahead to make sure the break between touring and the next album release is as efficient as can be.
