When I was young, I was a big time skate rat. As such, winter was the most agonizing thing imaginable. We would snowboard or maybe sit around and play Tony Hawk Pro Skater, but all my friends and I wanted was for the blasted snow to melt so we could skate. Building a ramp in someone's garage could offer a little satisfaction, but nothing beats hitting the streets. Being a menace. All that.

The month of April is always so bipolar in terms of Wyoming weather, so one day we could skate every inch of sidewalk in Casper, but the next we might get buried under ten more inches of snow and get stuck in the basement again. Nothing beats getting the feeling in your bones that may Spring has sprung, and thrashing is inevitable.

An old buddy of mine hipped me to this skater Clint Walker, and I think he is one of the raddest street skaters I have seen in a long time. Good to know that some still skate where others work or eat or shop. Here's a video of Clint skating that ought to get your stoke up... The tricks are big time and the slams are brutal. Enjoy the nice weather however you feel, for me, I am thinking about reaffirming my vows to "Skate or Die".
