Geoff Tate is putting aside his Queensryche legal issues long enough to continue his career with the new solo collection, ‘Kings & Thieves,’ arriving on Nov. 6.

The vocalist already has one solo album under his belt and had begun work on this second release prior to the issues that led to his ousting in June. Tate recently revealed the title for the new disc on VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show, and has not only finalized the release details, but also lined up a fall tour.

Tate says of the disc, “My goal with this record was to make a solid rock album. I wanted it to be an album that I could play live that would be both satisfying and fun, because, as a singer, you need to create a show that has a lot of dynamics to it and takes people on a ride.”

As for that “ride,” fans will get to experience it beginning Oct. 17 in Newton, N.J. The trek continues through late November, with a seven-date swing through Canada with metal icon Alice Cooper in the midst of the run. In addition to the fall tour, Tate will wind up the year by taking part in the ShipRocked cruise, which sets sail Nov. 27 and returns Dec. 1.
