One thing's for sure: If Red Bull is associated with a sporting event, it's probably the type of event that us mere mortals have no business ever attempting.

Case in point: the mountain biking contest known as Red Bull Rampage 2014.

Tom Van Steenbergen, while going down the already death-defying course, attempted what is being described as the biggest front flip ever in mountain biking. He attempted this feat over a gap of 72 feet.

Surprisingly, he cleared the distance. But what he did NOT do was stick the landing.

How is this guy still alive?
