FORD Country Fall Fest At Casper’s David Street Station
Looking for a way to get into the spirit of fall? Join the FORD Country Fall Festival at David Street Station this Saturday, September 30th. The family event is yearly favorite for Downtown Casper and includes some new twists this year.
The FORD Country Fall Festival features the FORD Motors Express. It's a trackless train that will run within David Street Station, with free rides for kids and grown-ups alike. Casper musician Zack Schommer will be performing live music on the Brian Scott Gamroth Community Stage throughout the event.
Also part of the fun will be arts, crafts, and games include bingo, pumpkin bowling, a ring toss, pinwheels-making and giant tic tac toe and checkers. There will be a "community paper chain", to add your comments about things you are thankful for, and also a fall-themed photo background to snap some memories for your family.
If that's not enough, the Casper Community Greenhouse Project will be hosting their last Farmer’s Market directly across from David Street Station, and The Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraiser, “Putt-ing Kids First” winds along West Yellowstone and includes many Old Yellowstone District businesses along the way.
The FORD Country Fall Festival this Saturday, September 30th from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is FREE.
David Street Station is the new public plaza in downtown Casper, and the events there are free and open to the public. “We need to have more events to bring families to downtown Casper, and this is just the start. We plan to have lots of things for kids and families to enjoy at David Street Station”, says David Street Station’s Operations Manager, Amy Crawford. “The FORD Country Fall Festival will continue to grow in future years as our space increases with the completion of Phase 2 of David Street Station next year. We expect the FORD Country Fall Festival to become one of our most anticipated events each year”.
Also a reminder, Country artist Dylan Scott will be performing a free concert on Friday, September 29th. This event on the Brian Scott Gamroth Community Stage will start with opening act Whiskey’s Alibi, an emerging band from Cheyenne, Wyoming. The entire event is free and open to all ages. Beer and other alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Due to the expected crowd, the event is standing-room only, and chairs and blankets will not be allowed. Whiskey’s Alibi takes the stage at 7:00, with headliner Dylan Scott performing at 8:00.
