Saying that Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess is a fan of new technology is an understatement. In fact, the keyboardist is ready to try out something pretty interesting in a very unique concert scheduled to take place in New York City next month.

A new site has popped up teasing fans with the opportunity to "be Jordan's keyboard." Rudess is planning to perform a dueling duet with a giant keyboard that's made up by mobile devices at a special show that's being filmed for his YouTube channel.

According to the site, the mobile devices will form the keys of a giant keyboard and when a note is "played," the SyncX Shows app will light up the corresponding mobile device to create an incredible visual light show.

A limited number of fans will be selected to attend the New York City-based event and those interested can fill out the entry form online at this location. All those participating will have their name listed in the eventual video that will turn up on Rudess' YouTube channel. In addition, if your phone is chosen to be among those used to create the giant keyboard, you'll also receive a custom phone case autographed by Rudess, access to a private meet-and-greet with the keyboardist and a special credit in the video.

An official date, time and venue have yet to be revealed, with those chosen eventually receiving the pertinent information to attend. However, it should be noted that Rudess' site states that the show will likely take place between June 16-20. For further information, check here.
