Fall Camp for the Wyoming Cowboys is underway, as they prepare for the 2018 college football season that begins Aug. 25.

Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl enters his fifth season at the helm. The Cowboys return 19 starters and 49 lettermen from last year’s 8-5 squad that won the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Coach Bohl addressed those gathered for University of Wyoming Fall Sports Media Day last Friday. He talked about the first practice, seeing players back, the practice schedule, the QB competition, the Mountain West and more.

The Pokes went through another session in helmets only on Saturday before a half-padded Monday. The first practice in full pads is Wednesday, Aug. 1. The NCAA mandates an acclimatization period before the team gets into full pads. Overall, UW will practice 20 times in Fall Camp. They will begin game-week preparation Monday, Aug. 20 for the season opener Saturday, Aug. 25 at New Mexico State. That game will kick-off at 6 p.m.
