Sick of hearing that annoyingly addictive Gotye song ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ everywhere that you go? Well, Coheed and Cambria seems to have taken the ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’ approach to it, giving the tune a creative twist in a way that only singer Claudio Sanchez could deliver.

Coheed and Cambria, who recently kicked off a headlining tour run, have added the song to their set list, at least for the first few nights of the tour. Check out the video below from their show last night (April 30) to hear them perform the song at their gig in Charleston, S.C., at the Music Farm.

The song has been covered so many times that someone even put together a Top 10 list of their favorite covers; I wonder if this new Coheed version would make the cut?

The band, who just announced Zach Cooper as their permanent new bassist, will join Iron Maiden on tour kicking off in June, warming up the stage on the metal icons’ summer tour.
