Finnish metal masters Children of Bodom have just released a new music video for the heavy-hitting track ‘Shovel Knockout’ from their 2011 album, ‘Relentless Reckless Forever.’ Although there are no shovel-equipped assaults in Bodom’s new visual offering, it does however give fans a rare, inside look into a day in the life of the band.

‘Shovel Knockout’ begins like any other concert-based music video, but quickly turns into a home movie about life on the road. The video shows the band drinking backstage after the show, drinking on the bus, waking up with Bloody Mary’s after a long night of drinking, shopping at the mall and much more.

The video for ‘Shovel Knockout’ has been released as a pre-cursor to Children of Bodom’s upcoming CD+DVD, ‘Holiday at Lake Bodom (15 Years of Wasted Youth).’

“’15 Years of Wasted Youth’ is the sound of Children Of Bodom working hard, partying hard, being relentless and stubborn,” says guitarist / vocalist Alexi Laiho. “We went through many brick walls to get to where we are, and after seven studio albums, two live albums, non-stop touring, bleeding and breaking a lot of bones, I think we are justified in putting this album out. Let the music speak for itself. You have been warned.”

‘Holiday at Lake Bodom (15 Years of Wasted Youth)’ is set to hit fans on May 22 and will feature more behind the scenes footage as well as covers of Dropkick Murphy’s ‘Shipping Up to Boston’ and Rick Springfield’s ‘Jessie’s Girl.’
