
Casper’s Channel 13 to Purchase CBS Affiliate KGWC
There are soon to be some changes in your television viewing in Casper.
KCWY General Manager Jim Beck says that his parent company, Gray Television, has reached an agreement to buy the local CBS network affiliate KGWC from its owner, Mark III Media.
KGWC is seen on UHF channel 14.
Silverton Broadcasting currently owns the ABC affiliate in Casper. Wyomedia is the official owner of the Fox affiliate.
No price was mentioned, and the timeline for the transfer is yet to be announced.

Mark III Media has entered an agreement to sell its Casper CBS station KGWC to Gray Television, which owns network affiliated television stations across the West, including Alaska, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, North and South Dakota, Kansas and Nebraska, among other states.
All parties anticipate a smooth transition over the next few months and a closing in the second quarter of 2018. No additional details were made available by the parties.
