Casper Woman Arrested for Threatening, Stalking Another Woman
A Casper woman was arrested Monday after police say she repeatedly threatened the life of another woman over the custody of a child.
Kristina Lynn Slagle, 21, was arrested on a felony stalking charge as well as three active warrants for violating a protection order.
Charging papers say that a Casper police officer was approached by the alleged victim in the case on Wednesday evening. The victim, a woman, said that she had a protection order against her daughter -- Slagle -- but Slagle was headed over to kill her.
The victim said Slagle was "crazy" and had just found out where she lived. The two were involved in a custody dispute, and Slagle messaged the victim to say she was going to "cut her throat." The officer saw the messages, which backed up the victim's story.
A protection order was in place, the victim said, but she was sure that Slagle would arrive at her home shortly to start a fight.
The victim was advised to lock herself in her home and call police immediately if Slagle showed up. The victim said she knew Slagle to carry a knife.
The officer made multiple unsuccessful attempts to locate and contact Slagle.
However, on Monday, Slagle was arrested on four active warrants -- all issued due to her violation of the protection order.
Police say Slagle repeatedly violated the protection order during the month of August, and the victim reported that Slagle had previously shown up at her home to harass her.
