Casper Rallies to Support the Dorman Family, Victims in Thursday’s Fatal Accident
When I heard the news this morning that my quiet spoken friend and fellow fishing competitor was involved in Thursday's fatal car accident, my heart sank! Sean Dorman and his two children were in the family pickup truck on their way home when the black Ford Focus hit them at the intersection of 1st and Poplar in Casper.
Sean and his two kids - Lilly (age 3) and Corbin (age 8) were hospitalized as a result of injuries sustained in that accident. Corbin suffered a broken arm and will require surgery to fix. While his little sister Lilly was flown to Denver Children's Hospital. Lilly suffered a severe brain trauma and had to be placed into a medically induced coma and doctors at Children's are battling to save her life.
Sean works and lives here in Casper and is an avid fisherman who competes on both the Wyoming Walleye Circuit and Wyoming Walleye Stampede series.
Fundraising efforts to help the Dorman family with medical and other expenses resulting from this horrific accident are still coming together, but there are a couple of ways you can help.
You can drop off any monetary donations at WyoCentral Federal Credit Union and let the teller know you are donating to the 'DORMAN CHILDREN'S RECOVERY FUND', you can also call 307.234.5401 to make a donation with a credit card.
The Silver Fox Steakhouse Restaurant (where Sean started working when he was 16 years old) is also helping raise funds for the Dorman Family. This Thursday (July 13th) the Silver Fox Steakhouse will be donating 20% of the total proceeds from that day along with 10% of all tips to support Sean and his two children.
Additionally, a fundraising benefit with live and silent auctions, raffles and other fundraising ideas are currently in the works. Any and all donations are being accepted from anyone interested in making physical donations or donating business services to help support the Dorman family - Contact Doug Stewart @ 307.259.7384
