Casper Police now have an "eye in the sky", with the addition of a drone to their toolbox. As part of the Department's “Our Community” Campaign, Interim Chief Steve Schulz will be conducting a drone demonstration on October 11th, and the public is invited.

According to the Casper Police Department, demonstration will highlight the added capability they now have for emergency response, public safety, and investigative purposes. Casper Fire EMS will also be a part of the demonstration which will include a simulated water rescue.

“This drone, flown by FAA-licensed police officers, allows us to better understand and visualize the environment and situation before employing our officers and responders into high risk situations," says Chief Schulz . "Ultimately, both our officers and citizens are safer because of this new capability.”

Casper Police Department Drone Demonstration:

  • 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11th
  • Lake McKenzie Dog Park (1691 Bryan Stock Trail) in Casper
  • The public is invited to attend.
