Casper police on Friday arrested a man on a recommended charge of first-degree murder, according to an inmate report from the Natrona County Sheriff's Office.

Jason John, 32, is shown as having been arrested at 4:20 a.m. Friday.

The Casper Police Department declined to say whether John is the same suspect arrested in connection with Friday morning's fatal shooting, which occurred in the 1200 block of North Center Street.

That shooting took place shortly after 4 a.m. Friday, and police responded at 4:12 a.m. after receiving a report that a person had been shot.

After securing the scene, police found 29-year-old Wesley Willow, Jr., of Casper. Willow was subsequently pronounced dead.

On Friday, police issued a statement saying they had arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the shooting. Police declined to name the suspect at that time.
