A Casper woman is accused of driving while intoxicated with a child in her vehicle Sunday.

Christy Ellen Webster, 49, was arrested on recommended charges of driving while under the influence - child endangerment and driving with a canceled, suspended or revoked license.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, a concerned citizen called police at 5:15 p.m. and said they saw a woman, Webster, stumbling to a grey Honda parked outside a salon in the 4000 Block of Plaza Drive before driving away. The caller also gave police the vehicle's license plate number which was registered to Webster.

When police went to Webster's home, she was allegedly slurring her words and had trouble standing up. A police officer also noticed a bin with over a dozen prescription medications on a table next to the front door.

Webster said she made it home roughly 20 minutes before police arrived. She also allegedly said she had two shots of straight alcohol with no mixers a couple of hours prior. She let an officer look at the prescription pills on the table, most of them were hers and they had warnings about mixing them with alcohol.

Police then arrested Webster, who had trouble walking to a patrol car.

A neighbor told officers that he saw Webster get out of her vehicle and stumble to her home. The neighbor also said he saw a child exit the vehicle.

Another witness said that she saw Webster stumble to her vehicle before backing out of a parking spot. In the process, Webster had nearly hit a parked truck. When Webster drove off, she almost ran into another vehicle in traffic.

Webster is expected to appear in Natrona County Circuit Court Monday afternoon. She was previously convicted of DUI in 2018, according to the affidavit.
