Casper Native Gets Prison Time for Manslaughter
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A Casper man has been sentenced to three to five years in prison in connection to the death of a University of Wyoming student from Lander.
21-year-old Dalton Dale Williams was sentenced Wednesday for his part in the death of 21-year-old Joseph McGowan.
Prosecutors say Williams fatally injured the other man during a fight at an off-campus Halloween party last year.
Williams pleaded guilty in June to voluntary manslaughter. At that time prosecutors agreed to drop a second-degree murder charge and recommend a maximum sentence of three to five years of incarceration and boot camp.
