A Casper man denied Wednesday in Natrona County District Court that he sexually assaulted an elderly woman who suffers from dementia.

Antonio Dee Trujillo pleaded not guilty to first-degree sexual assault, abuse of a vulnerable adult and sexual assault in the third degree. He could face up to 75 years in prison if convicted of all three counts.

According to court records, a Casper police detective was called to Wyoming Medical Center to investigate the possible sexual assault of an 80-year-old woman on Jan. 20.

The detective spoke to a woman who said Trujillo had been left in charge of the victim for the day. She arrived home to find Trujillo passed out on a couch wearing only his boxer shorts. The victim's genitals and Trujillo both smelled strongly of baby oil.

Trujillo's pajamas were on the floor next to a green nightgown belonging to the victim. The victim, who was not able to dress herself, was only wearing an adult diaper.

During an interview with Casper police, Trujillo said he had been drinking beer the day of the incident. When asked what happened, he said, "I don't remember," and dropped his head into his hands.

A detective asked Trujillo if he thought he made a mistake that night.

"Obviously I did, but I don't remember it," Trujillo told the detective.

The detective asked Trujillo if alcohol possibly got the best of him when he assisted the victim in changing her adult diaper. He said no, but when asked what happened, he couldn't recall.

A trial is set for June 24.
