A man was arrested at a Casper motel for allegedly selling methamphetamine Saturday.

Jerry Hong, 35, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, court records say.

The case began in February when probation and parole agents, along with Casper police, conducted a home compliance check. The person, who is referred to as Source One in the affidavit, tested positive for methamphetamine.

The source told police the methamphetamine came from Hong.

At the beginning of May, police contacted another source who was found with a used insulin syringe containing methamphetamine. The second source also told police that the methamphetamine was obtained from Hong.

Officers executed a search warrant on a room at the Yellowstone Motel in Casper where Hong was staying Saturday. They found a small jewelry bag containing methamphetamine along with several pipes.

Hong told police that he sold methamphetamine by the gram and in eight ball amounts.

Along with taking 1.6 grams of methamphetamine from Hong, police also found marijuana.

He was expected to appear in court Monday afternoon.
