Alcova will be full again.

The Bureau of Reclamation on Wednesday announced that it will begin filling the reservoir on April 1. People recreating on the reservoir are advised to take proper precautions associated with the rising reservoir level, according to press release.

Alcova will rise roughly 10 feet at a rate of five inches per day.

When the reservoir reaches its irrigation level, it will be at 5,498 elevation give or take a foot.

The increase will be completed by May 1 to allow farmers to utilize the Casper-Alcova Irrigation District Canal.
