An autopsy apparently has ruled out criminal activity related to the discovery of a man's body found in a snowbank near downtown Wednesday, according to Casper police and the Natrona County Coroner's office.

"Following the autopsy, there is still no foul play suspected regarding the deceased male," Police Sgt. Mike Ogden said in a prepared statement early Thursday afternoon.

However, the results of the toxicology report will take a while to come back, Ogden said.

Officers were called to East C and North Beech streets about 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to a prepared statement from Chief Deputy Coroner Wayne Reynolds on Wednesday. The body was found on a side rail line away from the main rail line.

The cause and manner of death have yet to be determined, according to Reynolds statement.

The identity of the deceased will be released after the next of kin has been notified.

More details will be posted as they become available.
