Billboard Music Awards 2013 Nominations: fun., Mumford and Sons + More Up For Honors
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards might be really fun for fun. The nominations were announced earlier today (April 22), and the group will compete in 11 categories, the very same number, funnily enough, as Taylor Swift and Maroon 5. Among the honors the 'We Are Young' hitmakers could walk away with are Top Artist, Top 100 Artist/Group and Top Duo/Group.
In that last category, the poppy New York-based rockers face some stiff competition from Coldplay and Mumford and Sons, neither of whom are strangers to awards shows. The Mumfords, meanwhile, are also up for Top Billboard 200 Album, though to win for 'Babel,' they'll need to defeat Adele, who's been nominated for '21,' a disc everyone on the planet owns in triplicate.
