Now I have heard of some elaborate plans for a crime, however this one takes it.A 17-year-old was arrested Labor Day on charges of shoplifting, impersonating a police officer and resisting arrest without violence. The teen dressed up as an officer in part of an elaborate scheme to shoplift from a local Walmart. Port St. Lucie police said the teen entered the Walmart and asked an employee to "make a page for him." He then opened and closed his wallet quickly, flashing a badge, and placed his 14-year-old shoplifting partner in handcuffs. According to the arrest report an employee became suspicious of the pair, and followed them to the parking lot. Where the older boy then uncuffed his partner. So at that point the real police were called. Officers found the two in a nearby plaza where they were placed under arrest. A pellet gun and toy handcuffs were soon found, as well as several packages of YU-GI-Oh playing cards. "It's just nonsense," Sgt. Frank Sabol said. "From what I can observe and from what they took, it didn't really rise to the level of such an elaborate scheme."
