BEASTIE BOY IS NOT CANCER-FREE

As usual, the press got it wrong. There were several reports last week that Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys was cancer-free. Not so. Adam sent out a message to everyone on the group's email list Friday saying that reports he was cured are (quote), "exaggerated." He said his treatment for cancer in one of his salivary glands continues, but he hopes to be cancer-free soon. Meanwhile, the new Beastie Boys album, "Hot Sauce Committee," will be out in the spring.
