From dusk on Thursday December 13 to dawn on Friday December 14, could be the most awesome meteor shower you have ever seen... for a couple of reasons.

People have reported seeing meteors all week, and they are from the Geminid Meteor shower which is expected to peak tonight, but NASA reports that a second shower will be peaking tonight also, and these new meteors are from debris left by the comet 46P/Wirtanen.

The Geminids are expected to produce up to 100 meteors per hour, and up to 30 meteors per hour from the Comet Wirtanen.  The meteors should be easy to see from anywhere on the planet in any time zone... just watch.
