We’ve lost one of comic and TV culture’s most enduring favorites, as original Batman star Adam West has passed away. The smooth-voiced star became iconic for his portrayal of the ‘60s Caped Crusader, earning a place in the pop culture pantheon over the decades.

The exit of showrunner Bryan Fuller understandably delayed CBS’ Star Trek: Discovery from its initial January 2017 premiere, but recent reports suggested there was no guarantee for its May rescheduling, either. Now, CBS reveals the series could be delayed as far back as fall, but definitely further than May.

We’re still waiting on Jon Stewart’s official return after signing an HBO contract, but Stephen Colbert has thus far afforded the former Daily Show host ample opportunity to have his voice heard. The ongoing saga of SNL’s antagonistic relationship with the Trump administration yielded some strange results last week, as Melissa McCarthy’s Sean Spicer impression reportedly upset the tweeter-in-chief by casting a woman in a male role. The internet was quick to yield additional suggestions for female stars to play male Trump staff, including his longtime target Rosie O’Donnell, though SNL apparently declined.

The unveiling of Klingons in Star Trek Into Darkness gave further indication of how modern Trek might expand upon classic alien designs, so might CBS’ upcoming Star Trek: Discovery do the same?
