A New Year is exciting! For everyone!

If 2011 sucked for you, the thought of a New Year to start over is uplifting. If 2011 was amazing, then another new amazing year is well amazing!

So either way, a New Year is better. For example, this time last year, for me, I was $10,000 is credit card debt, I was NOT engaged yet, I was ten pounds heavier, I was making less money, and my side project (being a world famous voice actor was just a cluster of poor ideas).

So one more year on my belt will make everything better. For me, this time NEXT year, I'll be married, I'll be debt free, I'll be making more money, and I'll weigh less. This girl has her goals and she meets them.

I'm not saying everything is always sunshine and lollipops, but this informal survey backs me up!

According to new a Gallup poll of 1,012 adults, 69 percent believe they are better off financially than their parents were when they were the same age, whereas only 29 percent think they are worse off. This represents a slight decline from when Gallup asked the question in 1998 — at that time, 74 percent answered they were better off against 23 percent who reported being worse off.

See? Well, this is how I see it at least, but what about you? Are you better off now than you were last year?
