AFI have confirmed the fall release of their ninth studio album, their first since 2009's 'Crash Love.' The-as-yet-untitled album, which is nearing completion, will be the band's first on new label Republic Records.

"We are thrilled to be joining the Republic family for the release of our ninth record,” says singer Davey Havok in a press release. “We've spent over two years realizing this album and could not be more excited to share it with all.”

Producing the album is Gil Norton, whose long list of credits includes Foo Fighters' 'The Colour and the Shape' and 'Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace.'

While no specific release date has been announced for the project, the California rockers first teased the album in a video in April featuring the words "A Fire Inside" and "September 2013." The clip is among five short, black-and-white videos directed by Surround (the Killers, TV on the Radio). Check them all out at www.afireinside.net.

AFI promise a headlining tour is in the works, with details to be released soon. Meanwhile, they've already lined up a pair of festival dates -- Chicago's Riot Fest & Carnival (Sept. 13-15) and Denver's Riot Fest (Sept. 21-22).
