Casper isn't really known for being a violent place (thank goodness), but there are a few places where you are more likely to be involved in some good ole' fashioned fisticuffs. If hand-to-hand combat isn't your thing, when you frequent these places, make sure you are on your best behavior.

In the interest of full disclosure, we do not condone, nor are we saying you should fight in these areas (or anywhere really). This is more of a heads up. At the end of the day, each individual can only be responsible for themselves. Take this list with a grain of salt. At the very least... we hope you giggle.

    Wal-Mart

Maybe because it's open 24-hours or maybe just because people are weird, but Wal-Mart can have some shady-looking individuals roaming the isles at an given time.

I have personally only seen a few fights there over the years, but they have been in different areas: the parking lot, the food isle and one Black Friday between the toys and electronics.

    Eastridge Mall Parking Lot

While it has been some years since I actually saw someone put hands on someone in the mall, I have seen it come to that numerous times in the parking lot. Here's the kicker... it's normally around the holidays and normally over parking spots.

Intersection at 2nd Street & Wyoming Blvd

I know what you're thinking: "that's one of the busiest intersections in town, how could one possibly get punched there?"

Easily! It seems the majority of our fair city's populace doesn't know know the correct lane to stay in on a left turn and/or don't know how to stop at red lights. This causes a fair amount of accidents. Folks are protective of their vehicles. It's no wonder they sometimes want to fight after being hit, especially if they feel they're in the right.

    Casper's/Denny's/Panchos

These three eating establishments are only on here because they're open 24 hours. Translation: drunken bar patrons tend to start trouble amongst each other. Waiting for food or service, already being drunk and the limited 24-hour options in town can lead to volatile temperaments, especially in the wee hours of the morning.

    Every Bar In Town!

On the subject of fairness, we aren't going to name any one establishment, but you can be sure there has been a fight on, in or around EVERY bar in Casper... new or old!

Let's be real here, alcohol and bad decisions just don't mix. Bars may be the last item on the list, but you and I both know they should've been numero uno!
