5 of My Favorite Things at Cheyenne Frontier Days

Cheyenne Frontier Days offers a fun and unique taste of the west and brings in thousands of visitors to our area every year. So, if you're visiting for the first time this year, or just looking for some fun, here are my favorite things to see and do during CFD.

1. Night Shows:

Fan of live music? Who isn't? Top notch artists are on the bill again this year including Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Big & Rich, Alabama, Toby Keith, Aerosmith, and Keith Urban.

2. Rodeo 

Half of the rodeo crowd are locals and rodeo enthusiasts, and the other half are people from all around the world experiencing their first rodeo. There's no better place to take in the action than the Daddy of 'Em All!

3.  The Carnival

Who doesn't enjoy a carnival? It doesn't get bigger or better in Wyoming than the CFD carnival. Even if you don't like rides, it's a great excuse to eat anything fried... literally, anything fried.

4. The Parade 

I've attended many parades for many events in Wyoming. In my opinion the Cheyenne Frontier Days parade is by far the most fun and most diverse I've seen in the state.

5. Old Frontier Town

Looking for a spot to buy souvenirs, pick up a cowboy hat, learn to rope, cook on an open flame, play with farm animals,  and grab a beer? Look no further than Old Frontier Town!
