3 Doors Down’s Brad Arnold on Playing Donald Trump Inauguration Concert: ‘It’s All About America, We’re Proud to Be Here’
The date is almost upon us, with Donald Trump set to be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States on Friday (Jan. 20) and plans are coming together for the inauguration celebration. Ahead of the inauguration, 3 Doors Down will play the "Make American Great Again Welcome Celebration" today (Jan. 19) and TMZ caught up with singer Brad Arnold as he was leaving rehearsal at the Lincoln Memorial Wednesday night (Jan. 18).
When asked by the reporter about many rockers shying away from playing the event, Arnold responded, "Man, it's all about America. We're proud to be here." When the reporter followed with a question about what it meant to play the Trump inauguration, Arnold reiterated his point, stating, "We love America man. This is gonna be a great experience. It's a great honor to be here and we're proud to be here."
In addition to 3 Doors Down, country superstar Toby Keith will join them at the "Make American Great Again Welcome Celebration" today at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The show will be broadcast live with President-elect Trump making an appearance and some special remarks at the event.
3 Doors Down released their sixth studio album, Us and the Night, last March. The disc has already spawned the singles "In the Dark," "Still Alive" and "The Broken." See the rest of 3 Doors Down's tour dates here.
