A Wyoming teen is dead following a rollover crash which seriously injured her passenger over the weekend.

Triston Addison, 16, died at a hospital in Riverton, according to a crash report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol. The female passenger, who authorities have not identified publicly, was flown to Primary Children's Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, with serious injuries.

Neither of the girls was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

According to the report, Addison and her passenger were westbound on U.S. 26 in a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday. When the vehicle rounded a curve at a high rate of speed near milepost 129, Addison was unable to negotiate the curve and the Tahoe went off the road to the right, continuing in the borrow pit before returning to the edge of the roadway.

The Tahoe again went off the highway to the right and went into a slide before rolling roughly three times, throwing the passenger out of the vehicle. Addison was also thrown from the vehicle and landed on the pavement.

The road surface was dry and weather was clear at the time of the crash.

Speed and alcohol use are being investigated as contributing factors in the wreck.
