Westminster Abbey in London is one of the most famous buildings in the world. Dating back to the 10th century, the cathedral has hosted the coronation of every British monarch since the year 1308.

The legendary chapel is also the final resting place for many former Kings and Queens, noted scientists Charles Darwin and Sir Isaac Newton and many poets and writers inlcuding Charles Dickens and Rudyard Kipling.

Among the many memorials to faithful Christians all over the world, Westminster Abbey also features a tribute to the Zimmerman family of Casper, Wyoming.

A plaque inside the sanctuary commemorates the service of Anne Zimmerman, the former physician and philanthropist who founded the American chapter of the human rights organization Christian Solidarity Worldwide.

Zimmerman, who passed away in 2004, is honored along with her husband Gail Zimmerman, a former Wyoming State Legislator, college professor and businessman, who still resides over 4,500 miles away in Casper.
