Wyoming is home to some of the most challenging ski slopes in America.

If the mountains just aren't extreme enough for you, every February, the town of Sundance, Wyoming, throws the wildest winter party in the country.

Now entering its third year, the Sundance Winter Festival was the brainchild of co-founder Reggie Gaylord, who was looking for a way to lure tourists to the small eastern Wyoming town during the offseason.

Gaylord hauled 300 truck loads of snow onto Main Street and set up a Horseback Skijoirng course, where contestants ski down the street, dodging obstacles and jumps while being pulled by a horse.

Another highlight of the festival is the bar stool race, where contestants dress up in costumes and race down 3rd Street on custom made bar stools.
