They might not all be household names, but there's a long line of actors from right here in Wyoming who have forged successful careers in Hollywood.

Here's our completely unofficial and totally subjective list of the five best working actors from the Cowboy State, not including part-time Jackson resident Harrison Ford.

1. Matthew Fox - When he was one year old, Fox's family moved to the Wind River Reservation, where his mother worked as a teacher and his dad became a rancher. After graduating from high school, Fox made his way to New York, eventually landing his first role on the NBC sitcom Wings.

In 1994, Fox landed the role of Charlie Salinger on the Fox series Party of Five. He became so popular that People Magazine named him one of the "50 Most Beautiful People Alive" in 1996.

Following the cancellation of Party of Five, Fox scored another hit, starring as Dr. Jack Shephard on the ABC series Lost. He later co-stared with Matthew McConaughey in the film We Are Marshall and supported Brad Pitt in World War Z. He even hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live in 2006.

2. Jim Beaver - Born in Laramie, Beaver's father was a graduate student at the University of Wyoming. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Beaver began his acting career, staring in theater productions in Oklahoma and Texas.

He eventually moved to Los Angeles, landing small parts in several movies, including Turner and Hooch, Sister Act, Blue Chips, Geronimo: An American Legend, Bad Girls, Adaptation and The Life of David Gale.

He also took on roles in the soap operas Santa Barbara and Days of Our Lives.

Beaver's big break came in 2004, when he was cast in the HBO series Deadwood, playing the role of Whitney Ellsworth in over 30 episodes.

He later appeared for two seasons in the FX drama Justified. He currently stars in the CW series Supernatural, which is in its 11th season.

3. Darren Dalton - Not to be confused with former Major League Baseball player Darren Daulton, the pride of Powell, Wyoming, was discovered as a teenager during a nationwide talent search by the famed director Francis Ford Coppola.

After his debut in the 1983 cult classic The Outsiders, he co-stared with Patrick Swayze in the 1984 film Red Dawn.

Several roles would follow before Dalton transitioned into screenwriting. He returned to acting in 2008, when he was cast in War of the Worlds 2. Dalton has since appeared in The Day The Earth Stopped and The Land That Time Forgot, which he also wrote and produced.

4. Jesse Garcia - Born in Rawlins and raised in the small Wyoming town of Hanna, Garcia's big break came in 2006, when he was cast in the critically acclaimed film Quincenara.

More roles would follow, including the 2009 thriller Locker 13 and 2012's The Avengers.

Garcia has also stared in several television shows, including ER, NCIS, Sons of Anarchy and CSI: Miami. He currently plays Freddie Gonzales in the television series From Dusk to Dawn.

5. Jim J. Bullock - Best known for the series Too Close for Comfort, the Casper native was one of the most colorful comedic characters of the 1980s. Although his celebrity has faded over the years, Bullock is still a working actor.

Over the years, he's had recurring roles on the television game show Hollywood Squares, the NBC sitcom Alf, the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, and a long run on the Nickelodeon series Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.
