Wyoming’s Blinddog Smokin’ Nominated for Grammy [VIDEO]
Wyoming's own Blinddog Smokin' has been nominated for "Best Blues Album" for their 2014 Bobby Rush Collaboration "Decisions".
While the players have changed over the years, the one constant has been Singer/Leader Carl Gustafson. No matter who he's playing with, his presence guarantees one thing - when you pop in a Blinddog album you'll be getting fatback funk, blistering blues, uptown horns and low-down grooves.
Decisions has already won awards for "Best Soul Blues Album" in the Blues Blast Music Awards, and is also up for "Song Of The Year" and "Best Soul Blues Album" in the Blues Music Awards.
Blinddog Smokin' will be competing with the following artists:
1. Juke Joint Chapel
Charlie Musselwhite
2. Step Back
Johnny Winter
3. Common Ground: Dave Alvin & Phil Alvin Play and Sing the Songs of Big Bill Broonzy
Dave Alvin, Phil Alvin
4. Promise of a Brand New Day
Ruthie Foster
The 57th annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 8th, and aired on CBS 8/7c. Make sure you tune in, and support the local boys!
